LAQUAtwin F-11: A New Era in Pocket-Sized Fluoride Testing
HORIBA has done it again! Manufacturing the LAQUAtwin F-11, the world’s very first pocket-sized fluoride testing meter. Designed for fieldwork, quick checks, and on-the-go testing. This clever little device delivers lab-grade performance in a compact, user-friendly design.
A Game-Changer for Fluoride Ion Analysis
For anyone who routinely measures fluoride ion concentrations, the F-11 brings unprecedented convenience. Its replaceable sensor uses a lanthanum trifluoride crystal. This allows accurate measurements from sample volumes as tiny as 0.3 mL, or even 0.1 mL when paired with a sampling sheet. No beakers, no fuss. Place your sample directly on the sensor and measure.
Wide Measurement Range With Impressive Accuracy
The F-11 covers a wide range from 0.1 to 990 ppm (mg/L). The accuracy is within ±2% of the actual value.
Effortless Calibration
Two-point auto calibration makes setup fast and reliable. The meter recognises 1 ppm and 10 ppm fluoride standards (included in the kit), however, you can also customise with other standards spaced tenfold apart. The smiley-face indicator keeps the process friendly and simple—because good science doesn’t need to be intimidating.
Smart Functions That Simplify Your Work
The F-11 is equipped with thoughtful features designed to support accuracy:
-
Multiplying compensation to account for dilution
-
Auto stable and auto hold modes
-
Temperature display and calibration up to 50.0°C
-
IP67 waterproof and dustproof construction
-
Automatic standard recognition
-
Low battery indicator
-

Three Simple Steps: Calibrate, Test, Clean
Using the LAQUAtwin couldn’t be easier:
01. Calibrate
Start with a clean sensor. Add a few drops of standard solution and press the calibration button. A smiley face appears when calibration is successful. Rinse off the standard solution and dry with a clean soft tissue. You’re ready to go.
02. Test
Place your tiny sample directly on the flat sensor—no beaker required. When the smiley appears, your reading is stable and complete.
03. Clean
Rinse with water so it’s ready for next time. Sensors last roughly 1500 measurements and are sold separately and are easily removed and replaced
The Technology Behind the Convenience
Flat Sensor Technology
The LAQUAtwin’s ultra-thin flat sensor—less than 1 mm—packs the same principles as full-size lab electrodes into a remarkably compact format. Measure:
-
Trace liquids
-
Solids
-
Powders
-
Paper and materials containing moisture
Sampling sheets let you work with volumes as tiny as 0.05 mL (except for conductivity models).
One-Touch Operation
Everything happens at the touch of a button. Calibration and measurement are automated, with friendly visual cues that guide you from start to finish.
Portable and Durable
Each unit comes in a compact carry case, making it perfect for fieldwork, onsite inspections, and travel. With an IP67 rating, it withstands splashes, rain, and dusty environments. Just don’t take it underwater—it’s tough, but not scuba-ready.
The LAQUAtwin F-11 brings 60 years of HORIBA expertise into the palm of your hand. Whether you’re in environmental testing, water quality monitoring, industrial applications, or research, this meter is built to make fluoride measurement fast, accurate, and refreshingly simple.
