The Apera Instruments Salt2 Value Salinity Pocket Tester is an incredibly reliable and cost-effective tool for regular salinity testing, suitable for applications such as tap water, agriculture, aquaculture, and education.
Apera’s unique BPB (Brush-Resistant Platinum Black) probe ensures high accuracy and consistency across a wide salinity range (0 to 10 ppt / 0 to 10,000 ppm). The advanced probe technology minimizes electrode polarization, expands the measurement range, and increases electrode durability, offering better performance than traditional stainless steel electrodes while being easy to clean.
With easy auto-calibration and automatic buffer recognition, the Salt2 tester features auto temperature compensation (ATC) to ensure precise results from 0–50°C. The large, clear LCD provides dual display for both temperature and salinity values, along with reminders for completed calibrations and stable readings.
The Salt2 comes as a complete kit, including ready-to-use calibration solution (Salinity Standard 5ppt), AAA batteries, and a lanyard in a portable carrying case. It supports 1-point auto-calibration and allows you to easily switch between salinity units (ppt or g/L). The IP67 waterproof and dustproof design ensures it floats on water, so accidental drops won’t be a concern. With up to 1000 hours of continuous operation, powered by AAA batteries, the Salt2 also features a low power warning and auto power-off after 8 minutes of inactivity.
