HORIBA Australia is searching for a Field Sales Expert / Manager and Field Service Expert / Manager to join our team.

Field Sales Expert / Manager

In this exciting role, you will:

  1. Examine and analyse customers’ needs; review requirements, recommend appropriate solutions and provide proposals for products and services based upon a thorough understanding of system level requirements.
  2. Perform field promotional work to sell and develop new business.
  3. Build relationships with key decision makers and influencers.
  4. Demonstrate products/services and provide assistance in the best application of the product.
  5. Coordinate company technical services with Product Category leaders, applications and service support resources
  6. Coordinate delivery and expedite requirements in collaboration with Inside Sales Department.
  7. Prepare price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates in compliance with company guidelines and subject to company approval.
  8. Travel 50% of the time.

You will bring the following skills and knowledge:

  1. Technical knowledge in an engineering and / or sales environment, including experience working on analytical instrumentation industry. (Require)
  2. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills; strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; good computer skills. (Require)
  3. Minimum of five years of experience in analytical instrumentation industry. (Require)

Field Service Expert / Manager

In this exciting role, you will:

  1. Installs, repairs, and maintains HORIBA’s products at customer sites and performs in-house repairs of equipment.
  2. Maintains in-house repair facilities, incl. calibration, repair, and maintenance of HORIBA analyzers, maintaining test equip.
  3. Provides technical assistance to customers and HORIBA’s factories side, including parts and technical question research, and assisting with Requests for Quotations.
  4. Assists with the construction and validation of products, including wiring analyzer boxes, setting up computers, and wiring I/O and AC circuits.
  5. Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance tests) with the customer before shipping.
  6. Prepare Field Service Reports for customer invoicing, warranty, labor, and materials charges.
  7. Create and modify electrical schematics and panel layout drawings using AutoCAD.
  8. Interpret technical specifications and translate them into electrical control designs.
  9. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to ensure drawing accuracy for production and field use.

You will bring the following skills and knowledge:

  1. Able to demonstrate knowledge of electronics repair, ability to troubleshoot to component level and electronic test equipment. (Require)
  2. Knowledge of analyzers typically found in plants and laboratories. Theory of operation, set-up, calibration, repair, diagnosing faults, etc. (Require)
  3. The position also includes responsibilities for generating and updating AutoCAD drawings. (Better)
  4. Must be able to travel, both domestically and internationally. Must be able to drive an automobile and possess a valid driver’s license; must be able to obtain a passport.
